GoodLeaf Farms has begun test rounds at its new facility in Montreal, Quebec, as it prepares to start full production in the region. The vertical farm, spanning 96,000 sq. ft., will supply baby greens and microgreens to retail stores and the food service sector in Quebec and Eastern Canada. Once fully operational, the farm aims to produce over two million pounds of fresh leafy greens annually through multiple harvests. The expansion will create job opportunities and foster partnerships with post-secondary schools. GoodLeaf Farms’ Montreal venture marks its third location in Canada, following farms in Guelph, Ontario, and Calgary.
